Emily Bett Rickards is a Canadian born actor. She is most well-known in the US for her character Felicity Smoak in The CW series Arrow. Rickards lived within British Columbia. Her career began as a child, she began to explore dancing and musical theatre hoping to eventually becoming more involved in acting. Her path in career development began at an early age, when she graduated high school, and then attended the Vancouver Film School. There, she completed the Acting Essentials course. Through the open audition which followed the search for an agent, she was able to find one for her. She attended her school, the Alida Vocal Studio in Vancouver. Her initial intention was to appear in one episode of the show however, her overwhelmingly positive reviews from the fans as well as her ability to sarcasm led her firstly, as a guest-star and later, as a co-star for the remainder of season 1.
