Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name given to Winona Laura Hoowitz, who was born within Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her in honor of her hometown. Michel Horowitz was her father and Cynthia Palmer, his mother was both an author and editors. Ryder's parents also happen to be Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. Ryder is the youngest sister of Uria as well as half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder and her family moved to Mendocino County in California in the year 2000, when Ryder was just seven. There they didn't have electricity. Ryder who was an avid reader when she was 12 became a book worm due to the fact that Ryder was not able to access television. Ryder began taking classes in acting at American Conservatory Theatre when she was 12 years old. In 1986, she got her first role on the big screen in the film Lucas she was only 15 years old. Ryder experienced bullying at high school. Her hope was that acting could bring change. But, unfortunately, that didn't take place. However, she kept working towards her dream. Her biggest break was in 1988 when she appeared in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder kept playing successful roles in a variety of films. In 1993 Ryder was twice nominated for Academy Awards. One of was for her performance In The Age of Innocence.
