Reese Witherspoon began seriously pursuing her acting career shortly after taking a class at Stanford University. The first successes of her acting career include films such as Pleasantville and Election however, her performance in Elle Woods was the turning stage for her. Witherspoon received the Academy Award, in 2005 in her role as Walk the Line. Water for Elephants This Means War was among the most recent films she starred in. It also received the actress another Oscar nomination. Witherspoon was also a hit in television as a director as well as co-star in David E. Kelley's popular award-winning TV series Big Little Lies.
